In my introduction to this training, I wrote that business behavior is about making others feel safe in your presence. That includes the concepts of good ethics and moral.
An example of this could be that you keep in mind that everything that has to do with your employer is confidential information. If you have signed a confidentiality agreement, it applies throughout the time you are employed. Act honestly and be loyal to your employer.
That you invest in practicing good business behavior is linked to your personal professional reputation, that is, the reputation that will accompany you for the rest of your professional life.
Always do your best
In order for you to behave with good business behavior, it is important that you do your best in all situations. If you do that, supplemented by following up, apologizing if necessary and developing what you could do better, you will be satisfied and calm. Simply because you do your best. It is enough!
Do you feel ready to get better at business behavior? Here are my best tips! The short version:
- Always respond to appeals.
- Review your availability.
- Think about your attire.
- Use conscious energy in your body language.
- Be on time.
- Use an agenda for meetings.
- Avoid answering phone calls whilst sitting in a meeting.
- Always reconnect.
- Be straight up and honest.
- Follow up and get involved with your customers.
- Stand up for your mistakes and correct them.
- Apologize if necessary.
- Say thank you!
