When we plan our travel to a new country, the first thing most of us do is to know what good things the country is known for. In case of Sweden, there are many good things that you will find unique to the land but among all the things, the one that stands out immediately, when you arrive here, is the beauty of its men and women. You will find them amazingly breathtaking if you are from a non-Scandinavian background.
In a survey, done in collaboration, by Match.com and Hotels.com, among the Scandinavian countries Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland – Sweden stood at the top with the most attractive men and women. Wondering what makes Swedes more attractive than the rest? Here, I have tried to list down various factors that contribute to this sensual fact about the people of this wonderful country.
Blue Eyes
Across many surveys done by various agencies around the world, the most attractive eye colour that popped up is Blue.
While only 8 % of the world’s population has blue eyes, the findings are that of this 8 % Swedes contributes to a whopping 79 %. This suggests that they have got the most striking eyes.
Healthy Diet
Most of the Swedes tend to follow a diet plan well known as The Nordic diet which essentially replaces processed foods with whole, single-ingredient ones. The diet includes consumption of a lot of different fruits, berries, veggies, whole grains, nuts and seafood. This helps in keeping a check on body weight and enhances overall body health.
Fitness Freak
Be it a dark and cold winter day or a warm sun-filled summer, you will always find people running, jogging, walking or cycling on the roadside, soaked up in sweat. As per the 2018 Special Eurobarometer report on Sport and physical activity, Sweden was ranked the second European nation with 67%, next to Finland with 69% of the proportion of people who exercises or play sport regularly.
Together with a balanced Nordic diet and love for work out, Swedes stand out from the rest of the world with a healthy mind, body and glowing skin.
Great Fashion Sense
When it comes to Fashion and simplicity, Sweden is no stranger. In-fact, Swedes are one of the most fashionable bunch of people on the planet. Be it clothing or cosmetics, Sweden has a proud base of world-renowned fashion brands such as Acne, Nudie, H&M, Hunkydory, Marc’O’Polo, Isadora, Face Stockholm and many more.
Regardless of which part of the world you come from, you will find a Swede dressed better than you. Be it clothing or haircut or even the make-up done, both men and women in Sweden are conscious about how they carry themselves in public and spend an awful lot of time in front of the mirror.
