Do you have a valid driving license in Sweden? All driving licenses issued within the European Economic Area, the EEA, are valid in Sweden as long as they are valid in the country where they were issued – not matter how long you stay in Sweden.
The EEA countries are: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Austria.
If you have an EEA driving license, you may even be allowed to be a private driving tutor – handledare – if you – obviously – meet the necessary requirements.
